It would be cheaper in the long run to buy a new one. Have a look at http://www.johnlewis.com . You get a better deal and a longer guarantee. Free delivery usually too :)

Did you have something caught between the door glass and seal ie. clothing ? if so that would cause a bad leak, try it again making sure that there nothing caught. If the problem is still there ,then the chance's are the door seal may be split, or another problem Hotpoint washer dryers suffer with is the dryer ducting coming loose on the tank, this will cause a sever leak. If its a few years old then it could be cheaper to replace the whole machine. Just read your question again and see its 2 yrs old, If the problem was not cloths caught, then i'd throw it away and buy a new machine.

A faulty pipe or joint to the pump or something. As you say the drier part does not work either . I would doubt that it was really was worth repairing and would be more sensible to buy a new one.I don't like combined washers and driers.Separate machines are much better. Most combinations you can only dry half the wash load so you have to take haf the washing out before drying. You don't say how old the machine is,but I would guess you have had it quite a while.

You'll probably find buting a new one is cheaper than repairing it.
We use to have a Hotpoint washer-dryer - the repair gut said the make is rubbish and recommended a Hoover next time. Also - better to get separate washer and dryer - the dryer on a mixed one is rubbish too.

Sorry, don't know how much it will cost to repair... but is it really broke? If you can drain the water away, open the door and split the load into two, it may well be that you've just overloaded the machine (This happened to me coz I was a student). At least try this, before calling out a repairman - Their call-out charges alone are just too expensive!!!
Hope this solves things

Could be any one of a number of things. Best case, just a pipe worked loose. Take the top off (unplug first) & have a look, it should be fairly obvious where the water is leaking from. No point in scraping if it's just a loose hose!
There is a haynes manual for washing machines, try your library.

Most likley one of three hoses/pipes 1 the water inlet hose that runs between the solenoid and soap dispenser 2,the hose between the soap dispenser and the drum. 3 the drain hose between the drum and water pump.I have no idea what repair cost will be in your country
the small pipe on the level switch which controls the amount of water entering could also be blocked

is the washer over filling if so have a look for a thin pipe that goes to the pressure valve follow it down you should see a plastic bulb thing take off and clean should be ok. the pressure valve is round as a few wirers coming off it and a thin pipe mostly at the top of the machine

More than likely the cold water connection to your
washer as worked loose.Pull washer out and see if it wants tightening. Also check belt to water pump to see if its still
on,remember to switch electric of before doing checks.

How old is the machine?
Is it still under warranty.?
If its too old then dont bother fixing it as it cost a lot.
It will be cheaper to buy a new one.
