While I was on the motorway changing lanes, the car trim and body picked up lime (white lane marking paint). How do I remove it?

If you're quick enough, try white spirit or thinners.

Gasoline is the only thing I know of that takes it off---use as little as you can on a small area first to see how it works and you'll probably have to scrub it....flush real good with water and keep any flames away. No smoking!! Check with a detail shop in your area too.

Carburettor cleaner or Carb intake cleaner.
It contains Carbon tatrachloride i think but it will soften it enough to use tar remover on a rag.
Its also good for oil stains on carpets,(try a small area first)
