Yes, it's kind of sad. Most of the people in my family are too involved in their own life, so in essence everyone is so self absorbed with themselves that they really don't care to chat with others. So because of that I don't have a relationship with some of my immediate family members.

Yes. My mother. She gave me and my sister an unhappy childhood, she was a very selfish and cold person who had kids for the wrong reasons. I cut her out of my life several years ago and it felt like the world literally opened up and all the fresh air and light came in. Shes out of my life for good, for anyone who is close to their parents it might seem hard to understand but me and my sister will never speak to her again, and she will never see my daughter or my sister's son - we love our kids too much to expose them to her. She's a very toxic person.

Yup. One older sister who refers to me as 'trailer trash' because I'm a single parent bringing up my kids in a council flat. We speak maybe twice a year at most. It's not a great loss.

My niece. She doesn't like me. She blocked me on Facebook, without giving me any reason. I hardly post anything. Not religion or politics. So it can't be what I posted. When asked she said it wasn't intentional but didn't unblock me. I just wish she would tell me what I did to make her feel this way.

My Dad unfortunately, my Stepmother won't let him speak to me. I haven't fallen out with my Dad, only with his wife as because of her they didn't come to my wedding (my Mum is dead so I had no parents there) It's a shame as I'm pregnant and dying to talk to him, still, it's his loss.

unfortunately, yes. i don't speak to my brother anymore. he married a woman who is rude to our mother, she flirts with other family members and since she got her fake boobs (nothing against them) she rubs them against every guy that she sees (she did this to our 17 yr old cousin at Easter) and he says nothing about it.
