Fables. Short stories to make a point.eg the Fox & the Goat. Briefly: Hot day Fox goes to drink at well. Falls in, can't get out. Goat comes to drink. Fox says lovely & cool in here, why don't U join me? Goat hot, so agrees. Jumps in (foolish). Fox then climbs up goat and jumps out, leaving goat stranded. moral: Look before you leap. Aesop wrote what are called 'fables'. These are short stories with a moral message.

The 'tortoise and the hare' is one of his stories...I'm sure you will have heard that one before...
