I am not into astrology, but many people here are convinced that astrological signs influence one's personality. The question for you all is how does astrology reconcile with psycho-social theories? I believe that our personalities are formed through our DNA, environment, and upbringing. Also, how can you guys prove that astrological signs actually do influence one's personality formation? Thanks.

''I believe that our personalities are formed through our DNA, environment, and upbringing.'' - this is very true in astrology too. A person born in i.e. some rich town in USA same date and time with person born i.e. poor village in Albania. Will have probably 90% similar natal chart, but their lives will be very diffirent. Astrology always take this things in consideration. If for example two persons have in their natal chart implies for having lots of children - 'lots' means different in terms of different countries. In China that would be probably 2 or 3 in Africa 10....
The same thing is about personality - personality is personality with its good sides and bad sides everywhere same more or less in the world - but how this personality is going to live its life depends on many things you stated in your qs. Astrology takes that in consideration that too.
How to prove that astrological signs actually do influence one's personality formation? Thru Einstains theory of relativity perhaps. Also thru metaphysics.

Astrological signs are said to determine how individuals react differently to one same environment, only because of innate attributes.

Example: any sagittarius child will most probably experience problems when opposed to parental authority, while an aquarius will prove respectful towards his or her ancestors.

Besides, the zodiac wheel is related to heredity and anyone can confirm this statement at any time by simply comparing the birth charts of one valid (i.e. not fake) family tree with correct birth dates, places and times indicated on it.

One may notice, then, that although sun sign is not fixed from mother to son and from brother to sister, many primary and secondary signs are recurrent, as they only move from one planet to the other in birth charts of any given family.
