Geology has found evidence of historical shifts. There is no current evidence that says it will never again happen, so my guess is that it will happen again. The good new is that we survived all the ones that came before, and as the Earth ages, each should be less dramatic.
The Sun should grow larger in the next billion years. You and I got nothing to worry about here, because if we live that long, the technology should be good enough for us to relocate.
Solar storms should grow more quiet as time goes on.
Man-made global warming will simply mean the Earth will be adapted to take advantage of the greater warmth. We will cultivate Antarctica and keep going as a species.

Are you talking about a geographical pole shift, or a geomagnetic pole shift? The answers, respectively, are "No", and "Yes". Magnetic pole shifts happen every so many thousands of years. The magnetic field of the earth is decreasing at a rate that suggest the next one is relatively soon, between 3000 and 4000 AD. This will suck, but most likely life on earth will survive. It has nothing to do with global warming.

sun is constantly getting hotter as part of its 'life' cycle. poles are constantly shifting depending on the behaviour of the material inside the planet. if you mean will there be a pole reveral then this is also likely as it has happened in the past and is supposedly overdue if you believe the claime dpattern. these prob have littel to do with global warming though, as it is held that the major effect of this is the warming blanket caused by axcess CO2 & other greenhouse gases

My personal theory is that while man definitely has something to do with the climate shift, it really isn't principally our fault. The earth just has global climate cycles. It gets hotter, ice melts, water level rises, more light is reflected off the water, earth cools, ice forms, land grows, more light is absorbed by the land, earth gets hot again...

OH NO!!! ITS THE END OF THE WORRRLD!!!!
AAAAAH!!!!!
The earth has been "changing" since it was formed. Man gives himself too much credit for being responsible for that.
