I am not a Yankees fan, and i find it funny that they are having a bad start. but if Steinbrenner fires Torre he is the biggest *** in the world. Its not Torres' fault, that his guys arent preforming. The team just needs to get their **** together, and start playing....JMO

I think Torre will retire on his own if the Yankees don't get to the postseason, but if the Yankees DO get to the post and win a few games, maybe even win the pennant, there's no way Cashman will let him go.
Bad PR, you know?

I think he will because Steinbrenner always tries to find a scapegoat when his highly paid (even over-paid) players do not perform. Who better than the manager to blame? Torre will be history soon.

No, but perhaps in the upcoming off season, George might give Joe a gentle "shove" towards the door, and Joe will "retire".

If the Yankees don't show signs of life soon, yes.
