cos arsenal have 5 out of 50 - is this due to regulations that they must have 10%??? because i think it should be a rule - arsenal may as well be spanish or french.

no u dont have to have any english players in youre team there is no law in which it stats that .....arsenal was the first english side to have no english men in the starting 11 or on the bench 2 years ago.....

I don't think there is a limit for foreign players playing in a match, but there is a limit of number of non-European Union you can buy in a season. So, as long as a player have EU nationality (such as French, English, Dutch, German, Italian, Spaniard, Portuguese, etc.) he is considered same as an English player. For a player who has double citizenship, he will be considered as EU player if he has at least EU nationality (e.g.: he has Suriname and Holland nationality, or Argentina and Italy nationality).

no rules to restrict foreign talents in a team... i think that's one of the reason why there is such a lack of talent in the english game... there's lack of opportunities for talented players to shine...
