I always get a UTI when I'm pregnant. The stupid infection is causing a cramp in your abdominal muscles. The only thing to do it to take it easy and stay off your feet. It will take longer to go away but there are things you can do to help. Drink lots of water and a glass or two of cranberry juice a day. That will help a lot. Pee all the time, even if you don't really feel like you have to go, try to go once an hour or more often. Stay away from soda/coffee and really salty foods like popcorn for a few days (try to avoid a lot of chocolate too). Talk with your doctor but you should be able to take some Tylenol and that may help a little with the cramping. You cannot walk with out your abdominal muscles so the more you walk, the worse it will get. It may even get so bad it feels like labor or like a charlie horse (the kind you get in your leg at night once in awhile). Water, water, water and it will help prevent more UTIs for the rest of your pregnancy. Also, make your hubby/partner wash before sex, wash yourself before sex, make extra sure you wipe front to back, wear cotton granny panties, change pads/pantiliners frequently (some women wear them because they get a little moister during pregnancy), and always go right in if you think you are getting one, treated early is easier! Hope this helps.

when i was 33 weeks, i found out i had a UTI, but being that far along, i didnt even know it from the baby's pressure. But i took 100% cranberry juice from either a health food store or health food ailse in a grocery store that sells that stuff, and mixed it 1 part juice with 3-4 parts water(its that strong u have to, says on the bottle to) took 2 cranberry tablets 3 x's a day, and acidophilis tablets once a day(or u can take the powdered form)...i took that stuff for two weeks to make sure it was completely gone and wouldnt have a good chance to come back again, but u can take it for 5-7 days...but i'd suggest it 2 weeks..

the pain could be caused from the uti.infectios can cause inflamation if the uti is causing inflamation it will make you hurt.i have had one myself it made me hurt.plus the severe burning when using the bathroom.on top of the meds.drink lots of water and cranberry juice it flushes the body. advoid coffee, teas, sodas, and real acidic drinks.the more cranberry juice and water you drink can help speed up the healing process.avoid caffine.it is hard on you too.you could be taking longer to heal because the amout and type of fluid intake.dr have to be careful on med amounts so they dont harm the baby.also advoid bathes, take showers if you dont have a shower sit in the tub and use a cup.the dirty water can cause infections.bathe oils, salts, bubble bathe stuff like that can increase your rick of infections.i didnt mean always avoid filling the tub if you dont have a shower just when you are treating for an uti.good luck

LOL... you said you have questions, but you didn't even POST a question!!!!
eta:
Ok... I looked for the question marks, but "It was getting painful to walk at WalMart early today" is a STATEMENT and NOT a question. Do want to know if this is normal? Then, you should say, "Is it normal for it to be painful to walk when you have a UTI?" And, if that is what you want to know, then the answer is "Yes."

That is great that you finally went and got checked out. I would suggest that you scedule an appointment with your regualr Dr. though. I suggest that because even though it is some what common for pregnant girls to get UTI's. With as often as you have had these symptoms and now you are sayin it takes you along time to get rid of them. I think you could have an underlying problem. UTI's are caused by something. When they test you for them they don't usual test you to see what is causing them. A lot of times they are caused by STD's or bad hygeine. I would go to your Dr. and ask to get tested for STD's. They do that testing by giving you a pap smear. Good luck!

If your question is ...would a uti give me abdominal pain in pregnancy? Then the answer is yes. If you are worried please go and see your gp to set your mind at rest.
