Carrie- scary Stephen King flick
The Deerhunter - cool movie about small town dealing with 'Nam
original Texas Chainsaw Massacre - scary - Leatherface!
Godfather- the alltime greatest mafia flick ever (except 2 & 3)
Superman - with Christopher Reeves
Star Wars
Deliverance - not sure it was made in 70's but that movie is awesome "Squeal like a pig boy!"

Hi. My 2 favorite films from the 1970s are Tommy and Grease

TOMMY. (1975.)A movie.based on the rock opera by The Who. A young boy is traumatized after witnessing his fathers murder by his mothers lover and becomes psychologically deaf dumb and blind.He grows up and becomes a champion pin ball player Great songs and cameo apprearances by Elton John ,Eric Clapton ,Tina Turner and Jack Nicholson.

GREASE (1978) A movie musical about 1950s teenagers at a High School.with Olivia Newton-John and John Trovolta Great songs like Summer Nights.Your The One That I Want and Greased Lightning.
