Don't you just want to know what happened to the person?

i have a friend who fights with her boyfriend almost every night an when shes mad she throws his shoes out side cuz he takes real big pride in them kinda wird i kno but when ever i go to there house i see shoes everywhere tthe last time i was over there she had throw one on the roof an the other on in the back yard

Yes. I usually imagine a pretty funny story about that shoe -- or a really tragic one, but let's not go there.

I like to imagine the expression on the person's face as soon as they realize they've lost their shoe.

"MY SHOE!!!"

What if they were on their way to work? Or on vacation?

Whatever the story... they probably had to go through about 1/2 a day with only one shoe.

I was thinking the same thing the other night when I was watching CSI , when they found a girls shoe in the road.
It does flag your curiosity when you see a shoe laying in an odd place, like along the road.

Wonder... if it is one of the worlds most unpositively answered question?!

good question, i have often wondered that myself, driving in to work tonight I saw one shoe in the grass on the side of the road and I thought the same thing.

Thats true! Either that or socks! =D
Maybe beacsue they were 3 sizes too big for them and they feel off without noticing. That, or they're from bums how left in a hurry

Its probably looking for its mate that is hanging from a high line wire somewhere. Saw one the other day.

Sometimes i see pairs of shoes hung on the electric wires (on top of poles)! It's so interesting.
