You can't draw UP if you quit a job unless the reason you quit was because the job was causing health problems.

In most states you can not draw unemploymet if you quit a job or if you quit for anything but work related reasons, discrimination on the job an material change in terms and conditions of employment, an unprovoked pay cut etc. $150 a week is a LOT to be spending on gas either you worked a loooong way from home or have a major gas guzzler.

That would almost surely not be a valid reason to get unemployment
And $620 per month, even if you worked every day and never got weekends off, is around 7 gallons of gas a day. For a five day week, it's around 10 gallons a day. What in the world were you driving, and how far?

you did your employer a favor by quiting so a smarter person could take your place. The person who fills your job will be smart enough to move closer to work and have enough money for all expenses
