Aquarium has dimension of
length = 3 ft
width = 1 ft
height = 2 ft

Volume = length x width x height
V = 3 x 1 x 2
V = 6 cu. ft

Full tank = 6 x 7.5 = 45 gallons
2/3 full = 45 x 2/3 = 90/3 = 30 gallons ==> the answer

hmm sounds like a homework question, but it's almost 2 in the morning and I'm bored so I'll give it a go...

FIrst figure out the volume: length x width x height
3x1x2= 6 ft^3
Then figure out how many gallons it would take to fill the entire tank:
6 x 7.5= 45 gallons
Then multiply this by 2/3 in order to figure out how much 2/3 is:
45 x (2/3)= 30... the other easy way of doing that would be to divide 45 by 3 and multiply that by 2... but I'm complicated.

I won't tell you the answer but I will tell you how to work it out.

Volume of the tank is given by Lenght X Width X Height.

You have all those values given so you should be able to calculate the volume in cubic feet.

Once you've got the volume multiply this value by 7.5 and then 2/3 and you have your answer.

3 * 1 * 2 = 6ft^3

7.5 * 6 = 45gallons

45 * (2/3) = 30 gallons

ft^3= 7.5 gal
3*1*2 = 6ft^3

x/6=7.5/1
x=7.5*6=45 gal
