While dating is not illegal, having sex with the 16 year old would be Statutory Rape, which is a Class E felony.

No. Statutory can be filed with a 4 yr age difference when either boy/girl is underage. Its not a strict 18 cut off like some ppl believe. If she was 17 or you were19 it wouldnt illegal BUT even in that case, her parent(s) have the right to keep you away if they wanted to.
I would stay away. Plus if you are caught after midnight, then it contributing to a minor. Its nothing but problems.
Let me also emphasize something, statutory does not always have to involve sexual intercourse. Sexual acts, even by hands only, can result in the charge.

In the state of Tennessee the age is 18. You better stay away from this situation or you could ruin your whole life!!

Dating a minor is inviting statutory rape charges. I assume you are 20? Love can easily go awry in the young. Stick to your own relative age group for a number of reasons.

Hard to say however, why not search for women your own age?
If she is fine with everything then I don't see any problems with it.....Just don't do anything stupid, and If you two somehow engage into any activity then be smart and use protection.
