Where are those rock,alternative, pop..etc ... music videos? All they have now are non-sense reality shows like real world, adventures in hollyhood , run's house , my super sweet 16 , next , engaged & underage I do re-do, human giant 24....etc...! WTF is going on with mtv?????

I used to like their programming before b/c it was pure music. Now? Crappy shows/programs!

Their shows today don't even have a good education to learn from . Instead, it teach kids how to become NOBODY'S.

Good question and I wish I had a good answer, but I am with you. MTV used to play videos, now they just play crap. I don't think it will get better anytime soon. VH-1 is following in their footsteps as well. Best advice is to get a satellite dish if you don't have one.

A lot. Used to be a big fan until the fantasy of "real" life shows started to come on. There's too much drama in the world and mtv has pushed it overboard. i say, burn it to the ground. along with vh-1. i'm tired of watching other people live their lives, when simply i live my own.
that's like the video games fat,lazy,spoiled children play real life games like "paintball/basket ball/football....etc." When it's very possible to out and play. But no, the world is being turned outside in.
There will possibly be a day where people have everything they need inside their own homes. When walking outside will be considered as "strange" or "obscure". We will be the new outcasts of the century to be outside our homes instead of in.

It's about advertising dollars and 15 year old girls! Thanks to size of the Baby Boom, their kids Gen Y (that includes 15 yr olds) is HUGE!
15 year old GUYS would rather "Hang out" or play video games or shoot hoops than watch TV.
MTV knows that 15 year old girls watch TV, have lots of money to spend. They create content to attract them and then sell the ad space. This must be the case... why would they spend money on original programming if they could get the videos for free?

You and I must have grown up the same years when it was easy to see a video. I think all the MTV videos have moved to channel MTV2.

I hope you are younger than me. I'm 43 and KNOW it's mind garbage. At least the videos were artistic and creative in the 80's.
