When did this happen in Final Fantasy 7?

Hello. I was wondering when in Final Fantasy 7, did Reno (of the Turks), drop the Sector Seven (I think), plate? Any general point in time would be helpful, (also which disc it was in).

I thought it was the start of the second disc...

Could be wrong. It's been a while since I've played it.

It was on the first disk, about 5-7 hours into the game.
