Toshiba lap top has error message at start up that states maximiser had an error during startup and will not operate I have tried to revert to last known good settings in both f8 startup and accesories does this sound like a problem with the windows installation?

Hi. Plenty of free disk space. You could try a Windows Repair using the original CD. (Ignore the first 'Repair' question and proceed to the second. This will fix broken system files.) Good luck!

If you're going to ask about your computer, you really should post more specific info about it like the OS, CPU and RAM - how much and what speed. My guess is that this is a RAM issue, but I could see that there are other possibilities.
