Hello Erica,

You can be married by a justice of the peace, a captain on a sea-going vessel, and a wedding officiant who may be of a certain denomination or is a non-denominational minister.

Yes, unlike most physicians, we DO make house calls.

I've even performed a marriage upstairs in a bar. Fortunately the band took a break so the solemnity of the event could be recognized.

Congratulations on beginning a new life with your love.

I think you just need to ask around to local judges.. See what one has the time.. or what it costs.. I know it can be done cause my mother and Step dad got married in their house by a judge rather than the court-house or a Church!

I've performed marriages in California in the mountains, at a shooting range, in a swimming pool and at countless private houses. So the answer is "yes" in California. Probably true in other states as well.

Depends on where you live. if you are in a small one horse town where every body knows each other maybe so. A minister can come to your home and marry you as well as the judge.

No, but they do have ceritified ministers to come where ever you want them too to marry you. It is legal too. It cost around 3-5 hundred bucks. We did this. It isnt the ideal wedding especially if it is your first but it can be done. Look it up in your yellow pages.

yes but the judge will have to agree to make the house call it would be easier i think to get a preacher to come to your house than a judge.
