If you are talking about telemarketers. You can either put your phone on the national do not call list or do what my dad did when I was growing up. Tell them that you would have to think about it and to have them give you their home phone number. When they say I can't give out my home phone number than say. Then if you don't want me to call you at your home why are you calling me at my home? LOL

Too bad they haven't invented a can of bug spray for those "pests" that call at the worst possible time.
I say "don't answer the phone or door! They'll eventually get the message!

Tell them in a nice tone that you wouldn't want to be disturbed during a particular part of the day, or for a full day, and would they mind if they not call. You need to concentrate on errands.

Ignore them... eventually they will get tired of being ignored and find someone else to bother or get the hint and just stop bothering YOU.
