I think that Ron, Voldemort, Hagrid and Snape will die in the last book of Harry potter... although i really dont think Harry will die b/c JK has said that the last chapter is an epiloge of the people who live. and she has also said that the last word in the book is going to be scar... Harry is the only one with a scar and if the last chapter is about the ones who live then thescar must be about harry.

#1 the prophecy said one will die at the hand of the other. So I highly doubt they will both die. Unless one kills one and then the other dies for some other reason. But i doubt it. #2 there is no way Harry (or his scar!) is a Horcrux. Voldemort would not have inadvertantly or accidentally made him into a horcrux becuase you need to recite a certain spell to put your soul into one. His soul wouldn't have accidentally flown into Harry. And he certainly would not have intentionally made a boy into a horcrux. Besides the fact that voldemort has been trying to kill him for 16 years, it would be silly to put a bit of soul into a living being. A horcrux has to keep the soul safe for all time. No living being lives forever and all have the potential to die at anytime. I don't think the soul could be contained if the being dies, as once the body decomposes there will be nothing left for the soul to reside in. Nagini could be an acception because Voldemort keeps an exceptionally close eye on her and has complete control over her. #3 JK Rowling has said repeatedly that Dumbledore is dead and is not coming back. He may help through his portrait or something of that sort, but he will not physically return. He is not Gandalf, as much as people would like to believe he is. P.S. I'm pretty sure I read a statement from JK Rowling insisting that Harry is not a horcrux, but i can't remember where.

First of all, I think there is a difference between speculating and spoilers. Spoilers are given by people "in the know" We have been speculating about this book since ...well, for a very long time. Mugglenet even wrote a book about predictions for HP 7. That being said, I know it was not your question. I think Hagrid and Harry will die. Hagrid because he is one of Harry's last great adult protectors, and Harry because I think he may be a horcrux. We know Voldie was brillant, though evil. It just makes a lot of sense to me that he would consider the one way to keep himself alive would be to put his horcrux in the only person to defeat him. That way, if he kills harry before Harry gets the horcruxes, there are still some left and he's only lost one. If Harry gets all the horcruxes, Voldie would assume that he (Harry) would allow him (Voldie) to live so that Harry could also continue to live. After all, to Voldemort there is nothing worse than death.
I realize this was rambling, so in the event that it is readable please everyone bear in mind that I have no idea at all, and would never dream of ruining a book for anyone. I'm just having fun guessing.

I dont know if you have been reading the papers this week or listening to the news, but JK Rowling is asking that all of this stop. All the speculating and all the so called spoilers - all of it. She would like to see people have the joy of opening a brand new book on July 21 without any preconceived notions and have it not ruined by all the rumors and innuendos and spoilers. I cannot agree with her more. Please respect her wishes and stop this line of questioning. They are her books and she has asked nicely that this stop. Read the article - those are her wishes. Respect them and wait until July 21 to find out. Thanks. Pax - C

Harry Potter, of course. There was a HUGE amount of foreshadowing in Half-Blood Prince that indicated that Harry is Voldemort's last horcrux. It would be a fitting tragically heroic end for our intrepid hero too.

In this, I am leaving out Harry and Voldemort--we know that one or the other or both will die.
My handicapping, in order of liklihood (IMHO):
Ron, Percy, Pettigrew, Fred/George, Neville, Lupin, Hagrid, Hermione, Petunia, Dudley, Tonks, Mr./Mrs. Weasley, Malfoy, Ginny, Bill, Fleur, Luna, Snape.

J.K has not said specifically that Harry would die, she has said that 2 major characters will die. You can really only guess. My personal guess is that harry and voldemort will kill each other in a final battle.

i have not really kept up much on harry potter but i am guessin that he will die. This is because he is like the scape goat... or a sacrifice. this theme is often presented. even in the bible. when jesus dies for the sins of his people in a battle against evil. jesus was the 'one" harry potter would die for the sake of his people in a battle against evil. he is also the "one"

I think she will kill off Harry and Voldemort, because if she kills off just Voldemort then it would be too predictable, and I don't think she has the heart to kill off just Harry.
