what should i wear a black tie on a pink shirt or a pink tie on a black shirt ( cousins sweet 16)?

pants:
i have charcoal pants with light pinstripes because black pants are cheap and played out
shirts"
1.i have a black shirt with slight vertical lines
2. a solid bubble gum pink shirt
3.or i can get a solid black shirt , to look better on the pinstripe charcoal pants?
ties:
1.solid black tie( carbon fiber texture)
2.a solid pink tie with diaagonal pink bars that range , the base is pink, and the bars are whitish pink

but u r right about the shirt...

the tie...

avoid the black one

go with tie #2

I like the solid black or a charcoal shirt with the pink plaid tie.This tie looks good but isn't boring [ assuming the pink, black, and gray match ]. Always wear the most interesting tie.

I wouldn't wear striped pants with a striped shirt.
