If you owed like $7,000 in back child support & were just making payments here & there when you could & knew you weren't going to have a license for many, many years to come because of this, would you still drive once in a while or would you stay prisioner in your home??? I got royally screwed in a bitter divorce and he had my c.s pymts raised to an ungodly amount. I tried to get it modified for yrs & I even had my daughter living w/ me for almost 2 yrs while still being charged to pay him-- it's a LONG< COMPLICATED story, but I will be charged no more c.s, but they can't change the back amount I owe. My new husband comes home from work tired alot & doesn't want to go anywhere. Sometimes I drive to the grocery store by myself or something like that, not all over town. Some people agree that you have to drive sometimes over the years & some say they wouldn't drive ANYWHERE!!

I would definitely not drive for fear of being pulled over, think of the cost of the fines, not to mention if you had an accident and you weren't insured, you could be sued and lose everything. Life is unfair and I don't dispute the fact that you were screwed in this deal but you have to consider the price you would pay for an innocent trip to the store if you were pulled over.

Good Luck!

You don't have a license, and you want to know if it's okay to drive? WAKE UP. Paris Hilton's gonna do jail time for that.

Get your new husband to take you out. Or take a cab or a bus. Or walk. But if you get stopped by the police, say for a seatbelt violation, or your tail light is out, you are gonna be in a world of trouble.

Don't make a bad situation even worse by breaking the law.

It doesn't cost much to have a license? Why would you not have one cause you pay child support? Also child support usually is figured out by both parties income so you must have some money if they made you pay such an ungodly amount. You had the kids, now pay for them, plain and simple, and not here and there, make it regular. Kids are expensive and one parent shouldn't have to pay for everything. Don't drive without a license.

What you do is your own decision, not mine. You have to be honest and truthful with yourself...and recognize that there are consequences to everything you do. You are responsible for the consequences of your own conduct. If you are willing to accept those consequences, then act as you feel you should. Just don't blame someone else...as you seem to be doing over the divorce.

well there'll be times when you get put between a rock and a hard place but its okay. I mean you have to run to the store. I wouldn't stay at home all the time. Life is hard and throws you b.s after b.s just pray...you'll get a break soon but until then just live your life the best you know how. For u and your family.

Come up with some type of home-based business that make nice honest money and pay the seven thousand. Really that is not a lot of money. You are in bondage. get your self out of it.
