No such "predictions" - those are interpretations loosely based on evidence and mostly relying on fantastic leaps of credulity.

Personally, I think the Mayans got tired of painting and decided they needn't write out a calendar beyond 2012 because surely civilization would come up with a better method than drawing on walls by that time...
