War is an armed conflict among people of diverse societies. War is an urgent matter because we possess the technological means to destroy ourselves. Research offers no proof that human beings unavoidably pursue war under any specific situations. Ashley Montagu observes that governments around the world often have to enforce their people to assemble for war. Warfare is like other forms of social behavior. It is an outcome of society that alternates in intention and intensity from place to place. Quincy Wright claims five factors that urge war. They are: perceived threats, social problems, political objectives, moral objectives, and the absence of alternatives.

War frightens me. I am visiting Israel, now and there has been Katusha rockets fired at Israel from Hezbollah which killed some families near the Gaza Strip, so Israel was forced to retaliate.. Now I am so afraid there will be another war like last summer.

The causes of war nowadays are by the terrorist factions. Truth to tell we are not safe anywhere when it comes to the Islamic extremist. They are all over the world.

I agree with Arily666 that peace can only be achieved by understanding, but the Islamic extremists want to wipe out all Western democracies. They don't want to talk. They only want it their way of life, and no other way of life.

The number one reason for war: Separation of classes (aka rich are few, and poor are many). Historically this is an Economic certainty.

Respect for and development of human life require peace. Peace is not merely the absence of war, and it is not limited to maintaining a balance of powers between adversaries. Peace cannot be attained on earth without safeguarding the goods of persons, free communication among men, respect for the dignity of persons and peoples, and the assiduous practice of fraternity. Peace is "the tranquillity of order." Peace is the work of justice and the effect of charity.

It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.

Albert abhorred killing and especially war in the name of patriotism . I see his point but the absence or alternatives must be scrutinize with grave seriousness and the absolute need to protect or defend the innocent for it is easily twisted and corrupted and needs to be prevented as well.
proactive peace should circumvent the need for defense .
Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.
Albert Einstein

i think that all the world leaders who have issues with each other should just throw on some boxing gloves and duke it out. i think all sides should disarm and go at it with an old fashion fist fight. i mean all these atmonic weapons is just rediculous.
