surfing movies........?

anybody know any good surfing, chick flick movies (like 'blue crush')?

If you live in L.A. over Memorial day weekend they are playing the grandaddy of surfing films by Bruce Brown on channel 56 "Endless Summer" and I think "Surfing Safari?" both ground breaking (or big wave breaking!) documentary style films on 16 MM that were single camera and hand held mostly...low budget self financed indie productions that originally were show in high school auditoriums and were the very first early surfing films about the early 1960's that tells the unscripted for the most part story about the kooky kids that drove old surf wagons and invented nose walking , hanging 10 and five and doing hand stands on old school Hobie wood stringer long boards! goofy footing, big trunks, straw hatted wanna be ho dads and real surfers and their "chicks" in a Dick Dale & the DelTones vibrato and reverb Fender guitar instrumental drenched sound track about the sub culture and where it could be found from South Africa to Southern California to Hawaii! Funny and an unpretentious look into a more innocent times in American youth culture... the other good thing other than the Space Program that was inspiring although surfing was far more low tech and began a back to nature look at our environment and would be the eventual birth of thhe ecology movement years later. An naive era right before teens fun was upended and it got very serious and much more phylosophical and introspective a few years later when teens dropped out of society because they felt their freedoms were not respected and became alienated by the suppressive establishment in politics, educational instituions, and the apparent hyporicy of their parents moral high ground ...but flawed ethics ...resulted in burning of bras, draft evasion, drug usage explored , sexual freedoms explored, a revolution in popular music and wholsale protest and street riots over the Nixon era politics and a foreign war called Viet Nam....although according to Apocalypse Now ...they still surfed even in Nam!

Hi.One of the best surfing movies is POINTBREAK starring Patrick Swaze and Keanu Reeves and it has a great soundtrack as well.

Another good one is BIG WEDNESDAY with Jan Michael Vincent.
