It's insane but welcome to America where if you played professional football, are a child of a fortune or are a famous star you can do whatever you want and not suffer the same consequences as the rest of the population.
Unless of course you're Martha Stewart and then they'll make you serve your entire sentance while OJ Simpson walks freely around.
It thinks it's so stupid. I have a friend who got a DUI and had to spend 30 days in jail. He worked for a living and had a child to raise. Paris could use some time to get away from the world and learn what it's like to be a real human being.

I'm irritated anytime someone w/money or power or both decides they are above the law, and that they feel that they have more worth than the person they have inflicted injury upon, but I'm also irritated by the fact that even if someone ought to get punished for what they've done, I'm still paying for it (i.e. Paris Hilton going to jail, and tax money being used to help keep her there for her measly 45-day sentence). yay--a regular Catch-22.

yess!! it makes me mad as well, if we normal people would get a DUI and drive with a suspended license like paris, that would be the end for us, right away throw us in jail, same with halle berry she ran a red light, and did a hit and run and she just got community service, but at the same time poor celebrities have no privacy, so sucks for them :)

normally i think it would, but the fact that she's being remaved from general population(which is clearly necessary) will make her time there that much worse, She will have to be alone the whole time, and being alone only being allowed out for an hour a day, even with the reduced sentence, is pretty bad.

Yes, I know what you mean. The celebrities are always crying, saying that their life is soo hard when really, all they have to do is go party and hang out with their friends and break the law.

She seriously irritates me... Everything about her does really... And no, I'm not jealous of her. My dad made his money by helping people, not off of a hotel and my head isn't full of air. So, no. I'm not jealous. I just think she's ridiculous.
