A little notebook, with Aladdin paper on the inside. I was 10. My dad gave it to me for my birthday. I, being my spolied self, went to my room, threw a complete tantrum, crying, whining and all. Then I realized that I felt really bad, and I grew to love that little notebook, I had it for quite a few years. It turns out that the notebook wasn't really my gift.

My fiance asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I told him I want a bottle of my favorite perfume, he said "I thought you might like a video console (playstation when it first came out.) I said no, I don't like playing video games you know that. Guess what I got, or should I say he got. The selfish bastard. I was going to get it for him for Christmas which was a month after my B day so I bought him a bottle of my favorite perfume.

A re-gifted fondue set. My friend,s sister got one at her engagement party. I got the banged up box 3 years later when I got married. I mailed it back with a nice note.

the "gifts" my husband 'gives" me that I have to share with him or he gets angry. They are things he wants and has found a convenient reason to get them.
It hurts my feelings deeply, he just does not seem to understand why I get so upset and/ or angry...
This is a sore subject for me, it just happened over the weekend on my 30th birthday..

When my husband was a junior in high school his grandmother bought him shoe laces with his name on them....lmfao..he kindly took the gift, hugged her and placed them in a box when he got home...he hadn't the heart to get rid of them....still has them to this day in the same box...

a mop, once my sister got me a mop for my birthday. she thought I would really like it because I always just used a wash rag and bucket of soap water because I think that is the only way to really clean a floor. the mop really hurt my feelings but I knew my sister thought it would be nice
