TERRIBLE TRAGEDY.
I KNOW...

Aside from that... what positive things can people think of that has happened or changed in this country or in the whole world that've directly resulted from the events of 9/11?

If nothing good can be admitted about the horrible events of that day, wouldn't that be like conceding a complete victory to the terrorists' attack?

I saw a video on the internet with a terrorist laughing. I think he was laughing at America.

I want America to win always. Even against ideologies and religions and cultures. We're safer that way. My money's riding on it.... Freedom ain't Free, ya know. $!CHA-CHING!$

I would say that for a short time everyone was united in a sometimes divided nation. Also under such dire straights the best in many people came out to flourish. Also new friendships were made when many overseas flights landed in Canada when US airspace was closed down. People there opened thers homes to stranded strangers and in return these strangers have donated greatly to the schools and communities up there. Finally America sure found out who her friends really were in a big hurry.

no planes causing pollution in the air. want to really protect the planet find alternitive sources to their fuel like solar power maybe. another thing in spite of all the talk of back pack nukes these need not be used computers or other means could be used so all the spying on citizens could result in reduction of computer viruses and computer fraud if police interested also citizens can use their wallets to express dissatisfaction so can anyone else and if possible a simple shifting of funds way from bank accounts in the u.s. could do more damage than any bomb and be cleaner too so check that out any spies monitoring this if they think this a possibility that bamk accounts can be drained, president crticised but good, as to ideologies none has to attack theu.s. in fact a party like that in china could be added with no adverse effect so can a green party and others in that vein, likely new parties would just take a small share of the pie not all of it there is plenty to go around and the big party fish would still be there just not the only apparent option . if you mean religious ideologies well those could be one vote away from having authority removed from them by others most of them opposed to their agenda if all the world joined in that would help stop that and reliance on money power instead of fire power would prevent other forms of violence main worry of elites was another revolution well no worries new parties can be added without one the u.s. a. is not russia nor has it ever had a tsar having a bit of the red doesn't mean it has to be all red could be green, blue, republican red

the buildings owners avoided spending the 2 to 4 billion cost quoted for removing the sprayed on asbestus from the building
what with declining rents and no insurance willing to guarentee its saflty [underwrite it ] thats a huge plus to the big guys
the building got removed by the tax payers expense
and gw declared it an act of war so no one could sue , and it gave excuse to get into iraq for the israel lobby

pretty good all round result from the great wolf i rekon,
latteral thinking and only a bit of collateral damage to the great unwashed voiceless nobodies that cant afford lawyers to sue
plus the pay back for the cheeny ddick and jis boys , jobs for the boys and a great cover for the stock market that was going to collapse
win win i rekon the wolf shoulda got a medal
plus the failing carreer of juliani gets hidden under the hero shroud , he could even become the next president and clean uop [by filling the prisons ] as he did in ny
gotta look on the bright side the neo cons got it right [as they see it ]

The only thing I can say that is positive is how news reporters, broadcasters and journalists are a bit more sensitive to big events being reported "On-air".
It brought people together. Have you seen the memorial quilts with the faces of the fallen on them? they are massive sewing blocks like a real quilt and ever so beautiful

Win-Win for the extreme Right-wing Christian Coalition. Plus, the added benefit that crime was down in New York following 9/11.

For awhile it brought America together. People were just a bit nicer to each other...even strangers on the street. All you have to do is look at the headlines in any city now to know that we have moved past that feeling.
