The average couple conceives in about four months. 50% conceive in the first six months. 75% conceive within the first year and about 90% conceive in the second year. The rest (like me) are considered infertile and should seek help. Good luck!

Most doctors, if not all will tell you up to a year, after 1 year they will start testing for infertility or fertility problems etc. It took my friend and her husband just over a year (both in their 20's), and my hubby and I 6 months (I'm 22 and he is 24). Took my best friend the first week she was off her pill, so using these three examples to show you everyone is totally different. I wouldn't worry until the 12 month marker and even then the doctor might suggest a few things before the horrible fertility testing. Make sure the guy wears lose underwear and moves around throughout the day (if he works in an office, make sure he gets up every couple hours for a 5 minute walk or stretch or something to get his blood circulating), he should avoid hot tubs and saunas or hot showers/baths, and if he drinks something with caffiene (like coffee) before sex it is supposed to help his swimmers... a woman is opposite, no caffiene is lessons your chance to concieve (is what I've read).
Hope this helps

It is different for everyone, it took us 8 months.
Ask Dr. Amy
50% will be pregnant in 4 months
75% will be pregnant in 8 months
90% will be pregnant in 1 year
(I've also seen 75% 9 months and 90% 15 months)

Every month, a woman has a 20% chance of conceiving. It can happen the first month, like it did for me, or it can take a year.

It's different for everyone... i fell pregnant first try with our first child and it took almost a year to fall pregnant with our second...there is only a 'small window' of opportunity each month when you are ovulating, all you can do is try and keep trying...
