Whats are some ways guys can control a woman and keep her down in a relationship?

this list is to actually make women aware of the tactics guys use to keep them down. cause lets face it...lots of women are clueless and will take abuse from men and dont know they are being controlled.

wow. i am so glad you put that last sentence on there...because i'm not nice about that stuff...but you also gotta consider this..

not all women take that, (i know, because i don't..)
--I don't give a guy dirt, and i certainly don't take it.
--i beg my guy to not take me to expensive places, that part is my fault...
--We still can't figure out what we would do if we had kids, considering neither of us will let our guard down (my guy and i)


and believe it or not....guys take it from girls to..

i know some girls who train their guys..
as in....no friends that are girls (even if they were friends before her)
don't go to certain places without her
don't get on msn/myspace

that has one particular girl in mind...and he puts up with it...and i know alot of girls who don't want their guy to dip, smoke, or be friends with grls...

i don't want my guy to smoke or dip, but i refuse to tell him not to..it's his habit not mine.

but, that is a really good list!! the thing is...most females know that they are being treated badly, they just 'love' the person treating them badly...

but, it's a two way street, women treat guys bad sometimes also...i have the habit of 'shut up' when i wanna say something...i'm trying to stop.

You want to warn women about tactics that men use to keep women down? Well here's a few.
Convince her that it is right that you control the money, even if its you running the both into debt. And make sure she has no money of her own. If she's working, she's paying the bills.
Convince her that you should be able to drink, smoke and go out, even if you can't pay the bills or put clothes on the kids back. (that's HER FAULT)
Tell her you'd treat her better, if she'd change (whatever) first.
Have an affair and blame her.
Say its her fault, no matter what you've done.
Isolate her from her family, friends, and keep her home alone (or with kids).
Call her names in private, while seeming a good husband/boyfriend in public.
Tell everyone she's lazy or dirty, even though you make it hard for her to keep things clean, by insisting she doesn't touch your stuff (mess)
Let her know that you'd get someone better straight away, but she hasn't a chance of anyone else wanting her.
Make her feel your embarrassed to be seen with her in public.
Treat her like your whore, and not your partner. Demand sex, regardless of how she feels, or the fact you've not given any reason for her to feel amorous. Touch her in a way that offends her (squeeze her breasts, slap her a**), and say "But I like it"
Insist that she dresses to turn you on, and then call her a tease when she can't deliver. Or a whore when she does.
And that's just for starters.

To be fair, let's acknowledge first that there's a reverse list. I've known some pretty confused, wretched women, too.

That said, any behavior that smacks of a lack of respect for her intelligence, body, and/or soul would qualify, and the human race is depressingly inventive when it comes to abuse.

The biggest problem women have, I think, is one they share with men - the desire to believe something against all evidence. As in, "Yeah, he sleeps with me although he has a girlfriend, BUT he must really love me, right?" "Sure, she flirts with any guy who has a lot of money, BUT she really loves me, right?"

We want to believe things that aren't true, which lets us excuse the abuser and allow the abuse to continue, all in the hopes that it doesn't mean what we know it means, will improve in the future, and is not, in fact, happening at all.

Very good! Boy, was I mad! I was going to suggest you get a dog but was afraid you would abuse it too until I saw the last paragraph.
It is correct too, I see it so often and just wonder why some men like to do this and why they like it so much. They are predators and to me it is the same as rape. They don't understand how this messes up a girls entire life!

There are also lots of woman who can spot these type of men a mile away. We are not all stupid and fall for every line a guy feeds us. Anyone who would try to hold a woman down and make her feel that way is a coward. He feels he can't get or hold a woman unless he forces her to be with him with threats of violence. He needs therapy, bad.

Make her stay home with the kid(s) while he goes out, because he "can't afford a sitter"
Refuse to take her out because he was out with the guys all day, and now he's "tired"

Good list. These things do happen. Women need to wise up and realize they don't have to put up with that junk.

Keep getting her pregnant. After 3 or 4 kids, it'll be hard for her to find anyone else.
Segregate her from friends and family.
Always accuse her of cheating.
She always has to tell him where she is at.
She has to sign over her paycheck to him.
