It all depends on how strong it is. Weak tornadoes can have a lifespan of just minutes, whereas a strong tornado can last for hours.

The people here that are saying days are wrong. The longest lasting tornadoes have lasted a few hours and tracked over hundreds of miles, but most last only a few minutes. Sometimes it seems like a tornado lasts much longer than they really do because a storm can drop one immediately after the first one dies out.

A tornado can last a long time depending on the way the land is if there are mountains around it will probubly not last very long.But if it is flat than it can last a lot longer hours.

A strong energetic tornado can last for hours on the ground. The typical storms that produce these are called supercells.

There's one on Jupiter, the Red Spot, that's been around for at least 400 years.

Depending on your definition of tornado.
