The auditions are held in the summer time. Check out the website to see which cities. Season 7 will not start again until next year.

American Idol always starts airing Januarys, and I think they start auditions around Octoberish? Dont know where they are held. Some cities are the same, sometimes they do new cities.

Usually by July or maybe August it will be on their web site (americanidol.com) when and where the auditions will be. Keep checking it. As far as the new season...they always start up in January and end in May. If you watch it every year, you should know that.
