The card that you picked requires PCI Express x16 and a minimum 300W system power supply. Your computer has that slot.

Here are the specs for your eMachine

but it does not say HOW big the power supply is. That should be marked on the back of the tower. If it says 300Watts, then GO FOR IT.

But I owned a PNY video card recently, which crapped out after about a year. Maybe you would want to pick a different brand.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

As long as you have at least a 350 watt power supply (open the case and look), you have plenty of RAM, and the rest of the system is plenty good enough. I have a much older system - Athlon 64 3200+, 1024MB DDR400 RAM, and a 450 watt PSU. I'm running an nVidia 7800GS 256MB with absolutely no problems, in fact, I over-clocked it over 80Mhz with about a 2 degree increase in temps. You should have no problem.

As for the PSU, I don't know if yours has one of those micro PSUs. E-Machines is known for using those, you'll have to check.

I would suggest not too.

Putting a powerful grafix card like that one would need alot of changes to your computer.Like installing the vid card first, then changing and finding the right power supply for it,and then find a better fan or cooling system for your comp.cause a new vid card like that would heat up your system alot and could damage your whole computer.

Unless you want too go though all that trouble and money into it then yes u would be able too...

The card itself could be consuming 35-40 watts. If you get a black screen on your current set up, just upgrade your power supply. Consider those with dual +12V rails.
Do not rely on minimum power supply requirement. It will just run HOT under FULL LOAD. A higher rated power supply would run cooler and last longer.
