How about their families??? We all give close to 8% of our paychecks to give them money, (Social Security). As an American I always thought Freedom comes with the responsibility for yourself. Or is it "Keep Gov. out of my life" until I don't make sacrifices and save enough money to take care of myself, then it's "Your job to take care of me"..
55% of our Federal Budget goes for entitlement Programs People !!! If you folks under 40 don't wise up, YOU are gonna be the ones Paying for ALL the Baby Boomers "Retirement" with horrific Taxes.....

I don't think people over 80 should have to file
taxes and pay property taxes any more. They have
paid all their lives and then it hurts them a lot when
they retire or are disabled and live on a fixed income.
I've written my Congressmen and Senators about this,
and wish you would to, so when we get old and gray
this matter will have been changed and we won't have
to keep paying until we're 100 or until death, whichever
comes first.

You can by putting pressure on your local representatives and voicing your concerns. If you do not vote in local elections you will not see local problems solved, that is where it starts.

usually they depend on there self and their meager income (relatives usually seem to avoid them until they need something).
