Losing something does not make you lose more but it makes one gain more.

this depends on you mentality. if you think of loss and it makes you a better person like you actually learn from your mistakes then you will work harder to ensure you will not loose other things that might be good that happen to come your way. but if you are example an alcoholic or an excessive gambler and you keep doing the same destructive behavior with out ever saying enough is enough then you very well could continue on your loosing streak!

Yes. I believe in the power of suggestion. IF you think positive then good things will happen.........think about loss and you will loose more.

Chalk your losses up to experience and examine the cause for the future ; those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Good question Katt;
I would have to go with yes. Your frame of mind and attitude have everything to do with everything!.....as the saying goes..........."it's all about attitude" When you settle your mind on loss, or grief, or anger, you attract the same things unto you. Sort of like the "Self fulfilling prophecy"....so be careful what you ponder on!

I dunno, I think the guy is on to something. If you dwell too much on loss and negative stuff, you can get in a funk and other stuff gets neglected or poor decisions get made, etc.
So a chain of loss can begin if you are not careful.

Also, if you lose someone that was a partner, it is difficult to take on additional tasks of that partner, and you may have to drop or lose other things to keep up.

Only if you are wasting time thinking about the down side to everything. Life is for living and enjoying, not worrying about the bad things that could someday happen.
