Three Nicholas Sparks movies based on his books,
Message In A Bottle earlier than 2000, The Notebook and A Walk to Remember.

Oldies but goodies are While You Were Sleeping, Ghost, Dying Young

my favourite movie is Moulin Rouge, it is THE chick flick of all chick flicks. Won't be disappointed I promise. It has Ewan McGregor, Nicole Kidman, John Leguizamo (an odd person to put in a chick flick I must say but he played a midget with a lisp. Very entertaining) and several other recognisable faces. It's set in 1899 during the beginning of the Bohemian Revolution. It's about a poor writer falls in love with a prostitute. Lots of wonderful songs and dances. You can watch it online at http://www.peekvid.com/showcategorypage.php?id=7

Another movie I would suggest would be Romeo+Juliet. The newer version with Leonardo DiCaprio and Clara Danes. It's Romeo and Juliet set in modern era. Amazing.

50 First Dates with Adam Sandler and Drew Berrymore is also a very good movie.

Those are all i can think of right now but check them out, they are all my FAVOURITE movies!

Even though I am waiting to watch it with that special someone, I hear that "The Notebook" was great. I don't like to watch many "chick flicks," and I know that you are looking for some after 2000, but "City of Angels" and "Ghost" are always my favorites :o)
