McDonald's and several other fast food restaurants uses a lot of imported beef from Australia.
Australia is becoming one of the largest beef suppliers in the US. Only second to Texas and Oklahoma.

In the USA alone, between 35-40 million head of cattle are slaughtered for meat each year.
