You can be an extra in movies. There are many films currently filming in NYC. Try to find out the name of the casting director and mail your headshot/resume to them and say you are Available for Extra Work.
Last year 600 films were shot in NYC.

Not a very good chance w/o an agent or knowing someone connected to the part you desire. EVERYBODY wants to be a star honey..walking in and getting a role JUST DOESN'T HAPPEN!! you have to follow the proper channels because of unions and such.

You cant.......start small dreamer....on the off chance you landed in audition without prior experience....you'd blow it...so would anyone else
