When I think about where Rap and rock really first came about you have to think about Run -DMC and Aerosmith's "Walk this Way" A straight classic.
Also Anthrax did a version of Public Enemy's "Bring the Noise". I think Chuck D heard it and liked it so they decided to perform it together, it's another classic. Check them out.

That is the greatest combo ever hence bands like Rage and the old Linkin Park... The new remake of This Is Why I Rock by MIMS and Purple Popcorn is sick as well

Yup. Bands like Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Korn & Rage Against the Machine all did that. "Nu metal" as it was called in the 90s.
