ok so anyone that is a fan of harry potter knows that harry has a godfather.. but does he have a godmother??

I think no, there is no godmother.
It may be because of two reasons. one is that Sirius had no partner.
If that did not matter, A god parent has to be some biological relative like aunt/uncle.and it seems that Harry had no biological relative except Petunia .So no godmothers.Sirius may have been chosen as Godfather because he was as close as a brother to James.
If u see it, Petunia would have been His godmother had she been nice enough.
One more point, it would be interesting if there ever came some person claiming to be Harry's Godmother.

Well, the status of godparent is traditionally given to family members, particularly the uncle or aunt of the child...Rowling never stated that Harry had paternal uncles or aunts. So it's safe to assume that Lily and James chose Sirius because he was as close to James as any biological brother. But because Sirius was jailed for the murder of Peter Pettigrew, Harry was sent to live with his only family, his godmother Petunia.

wouldn't it be a wonderful twist of things? I've always wondered if he had a godmother that we could met sooner or later, but it doest look like it will happen..but it is odd to have a godfather but not a godmother..

If he does, she has not been named. Functionally, Molly Weasley is his godmother.

it might be his aunt petunia because if he stays in her house he is safe so it might be that she is his godmother

i dont think coz sirius is not married and jkr has never mentioned of one
though harry lives with her aunt, so may b she is his god mother
