One night I woke up remembering to take my pill; I took one a row below the row I'd already started due to the dark. Does anyone know if the order in taking these pills matter in their efficacy? Please answer only if you know.

If it was the same color as the one you should have taken then you are ok.

If its different then that means you probably took a different hormone level pill and I would call the doctor or pharmacist to find out what to do.

If you have a monophasic pill where all the pills are the same colour - then they are all identical and it doesn't matter what order you take them as long as you take all 21 active pills one day at a time. If you have a tri-phasic pill the pills will be different colours and they have different doses. If you are on a tri-phasic pill, then you should probably consult your pharmacist.

Depends on what type of birth control you take.
Ortho tri cyclen yes...
yasmin, alesse, etc. no

unless you took a reminder pill, they have no hormones.
