Humans are animals just like all the rest. Nature created us, and we are still a part of it. If a tiger eats the very last of some species of animal, should the tiger feel some moral pang about causing its extinction? Should a beaver consider the environmental repercussions on other animals when the dam it builds floods a vast area of prairie? Should a herd of wildebeest a million strong (yes there are herds that big!) worry about land erosion when they go through an area and strip it clean of vegetation?
It is not uncommon in many of the world's religions to view pleasure, especially sex, as sinful. There is, I believe, another new religion in the making, evolving. It is a nature-worship religion that treats the Earth as god (similar to the Gaia concept) and humans as sinful just for being humans. It is decidedly anti-progress and anti-industrialization. It teaches that to be good we must live as closely in harmony with nature as possible, i.e. like animals. And the more extreme elements of it, like the End Timers of xtianity, actually would rejoice were humanity to go extinct, so long as we didn't take the rest of nature with us.
Needless to say I do not subscribe to this dogma. We should utilize nature to our benefit. This does not include wanton polluting or unsustainable practices, but neither should human society be impeded or made to suffer in order to uphold some vague notion that nature is prima facie sacred. Nothing, including nature, has value independent of the valuer, and we are the valuers. We should use nature responsibly, but we should not worship it.

If you are asking are we the deterioration of this world, then my Answer = No
We are the wondrous Glory of this world.
Think about this one moment.
In the vastness of outer space there are billions upon billions of uninhabited planets orbiting around stars.
Our planet Earth is the only known Planet known which supports Life.
Why do people worry so much about this stupid piece of wet hunk rock of a Planet which we reside upon when there are so many which are not being inhabited by us.
There is nothing at all, I say again there is nothing at all which we as humans can do to this planet which will affect it in any negative way.
This Planet does not Live, You do, and I do.
The Planet serves us. that is all
Care for People, not for Planets

The world, and everything in it, was made by and for God.
If my people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked way, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. II Chronicles 7:14
Let's do our part to see this promise fulfilled in our land. Let's quit blaming everyone else and look at ourselves. If our land is not healed, we have no one to blame but ourselves.
