remember the Virginia tech shooting? I hear on the news that they shooter was inspired by this one movie (don't know what it's called). Anyways...
Think of all the scenes, movies, and commercials that involve sexual content, bad language, drug content, and gangster-sism (is that a word? lol.) Easpecaly kids are the ones that are affected by this. Media tells teenagers "what's in" and the new trends. What music is popular, and what clothes are the ones you should be wearing. Think of how many teens see music videos every day? First..the only thing the rappers, and "artists" are singing about is sex, and they ALWAYS have almost naked girls "dancing" in the videos. All of this adds up together. I'm 14 and I know girls in my school MY AGE that already had sex. That's just wrong.
Also think about this...
we like certain clothes because their trendy. I have seen girls wear some things that I know they would regularly never wear. But the only reason they wear them is because their the new thing.
Movies and all kinds of media DEFINETLY and absolutely have an impact on people. Easpecaly teens, and kids.
Of coarse some good movies can affect people positively too. Like this one movie "Pay it Forward" definetly inspired me! I love it and the message that it sends! Or other movies like the "miracle worker" and so on.

Neither or either. It depends on the movie and how convincing it is, but it also depends on the audience, are they close minded or gullible?
