Ok, I deleted two profiles off two different dating sites a couple of weeks ago, they were my partners and we have decided to go to counselling and resolve our issues, one of which his facination for dating sites.
Now having deleted these two profiles, I have gone and searched on each site for the username (both the same) and have found they both say that the user has set the profile to invisible. The username is rather distinct, three words joined together. I asked my partner about this and he told me that it wasn't him and someone else must have signed up under that name. What are the chances of someone using the same username 2 weeks after it was deleted from the same website, has happened with both?

He is on the prowl and in in the process of cheating. As he might be keeping his "channels open", I'm sure he is thinking ahead by 2 steps. Its rational to think that he knows that you know what he is up to, yet he is trying to cover his tracks.
Remember this line from the film Air Force One: "you can lead a mouse to a cookie, and then he will ask for milk".
My recommedation, as suggested from others who answered before me, is to install a spyware or keylogger program. If he is being sneaky, you can be sneakier!!!!
I have had to play the role of detective and private investigator (email me for suggestion, and/or creative solutions!!)

not a chance.
He either re-made the profiles and set them so they are not viewable but he can put them up again at any time (meaning that he's not really planning to change) or they were never fully deleted (sometimes you have to confirm the deletion by following an e-mail link or something).

Are you using the same computer? If so, you can install a keylogger program. This will send an email to your inbox which shows all the typing that the other persons have done on the computer since the program was installed. I use this for my teenage daughter and monitor her chatroom talks. Works fantastic!!!

Its possible its him, but my hubby and I met from a personals website and we both got rid of our accounts some time ago but we still get emails with our matches in them yet we dont have our profiles up. But if you cant trust him then you need the counseling or the door.

Chances are slim to none, but you know that. I am sorry this has happened to you. I was also in a relationship with someone who was addicted to browsing singles sites. Did you know that over 40% of the people on there are married or in a relationship?!
You know the truth inside.

I don't know. I have deleted profiles before, and then still get e-mails concerning them. I don't see how it would benefit him to have aninvisible profile, unless you think he just has them in order to do a search.

The chances are that it is him again. Unless he was ready to change and delete them, there's nothing you can do to make up his mind to quit being on these sites.

Chances are slim.
Install the spyware. I know a friend that did this and caught his wife red handed.
You need to put your mind at ease and there is too much to lose if you can't trust this guy.
