Mints thrive on neglect...but will wilt if dry for too long.
Just make sure you contain this plant or it will take over your whole garden...Believe me, I know this as I have 2 types of mint in my garden.
Most mints are natives of the Mediterranean region. They are hardy perennial plants, and they are very easy to grow. They have bright green leaves on bushy plants. Flowers include white, blue and pink. Once planted, mints will come back year, after year, after year. They require little or no maintenance, too.
Some effort is required to control them from spreading, but I like having it around. Terrific if used when cooking new potatos. Mmmmm!
Most varieties grow 12-24 inches.
Mints are great in herb gardens, in beds along the house, or in containers.
Good luck!

LMAO! Oh, you poor dear. Spearmint starts off small, but it quickly grows to infiltrate whatever space it surrounds. Left to grow rampant, it will eventually overtake the Earth:). Seriously, spearmint grows prolificly, so you don't have to worry much about messing it up if you water it and keep it in a fairly sunny location.

Please be aware it will take over the entire area you are planting it, so choose carefully!!! It spreads via root system at the top of the soil. If you don't want it to spread then keep it in a terra cotta pot - the size you want it to spread to - planted in the ground with the top edge just above the soil line. Water as needed till established and it will come back year after year.

Spearmint does best in sun with regular watering. It doesn't do well in too wet soil. It is pretty hardy, and the clippings will root pretty quickly.

My spearmint is planted in full sun, I never water it and it is very invasive...be careful where you plant it because it will choke out any surrounding plants...

As lots direct solar as possible. It does not make a greater physically powerful than happy houseplant, till you grants it extremely some direct solar. you may evaluate planting it outdoors at present in the floor in the spring. it particularly is a hardy perennial, and if it is in a sunny spot, or possibly a million/2 an afternoon's solar outdoors, it grows nicely without lots interest. I forget approximately approximately mine thoroughly, and it comes back year after year, or perhaps spreads.

It's not a picky plant. I've got different kinds of mint and they've done well everywhere I put them. They grow and reproduce like weeds! If you can't grow mint, don't even try anything else because nothing is easier.

Don't worry, everyone is right, plenty of sun and lots of water, hey, you can't kill the stuff with a stick!! I tell my friends to grow it in a big pot, put it in a flowerbed and you'll never be rid of it.
