I am 14 years old, 5'5 and 98-100 pounds. I got my first period in February this year. My dad is 6'2 and my mom is 5'5. My doctor orginally said i was supposed to be 5'10 [because i was very tall as a baby] but then as i got older he said around 5'7. Will i still grow even though i got my period and im only 5'5?

Most people still grow up to about 20, clearly it slows down but at 14 you still have some time to grow. However because you have your period you're starting to hit that slowing down stage.

The only main thing you can do at this point is work out more, and stay fit as much as you can. Girls who are over weight get their period sooner and stop growing sooner, ones who stay fit have less of a period or put it off and there for still grow. The reason for this is that once a girl gets her period her body goes into the auto drive of now your old enough to have kids now you have to stop growing and work on that. Clearly that's good for animals but not for people.

So when you have more weight in muscle then fat you'll normally put a stop to your cycle if it's only just started and you'll be able to still grow taller at least a little, if you have more fat then muscle then you'll continue your cycle and stop growing taller sooner.

This only works that way when you're younger and only for a short amount of time, also it's not for sure if you're only ment to be that tall then that's what you'll get.

You know what's funny? I was 5'2" in when I graduated high school. One year later at 19 I was 5'3"..I stayed 5'3" until I got pregnant with my 3rd child. I grew an inch while I was pregnant. I am now 5'4" and not growing anymore. Wouldn't be too concerned you will probably grow at least one more inch before graduation.

You'll grow however long you grow. You probably will still continue growing for a bit, since you are only 14.

Girls usually grow until they are 18 or 19, so you definitely still are growing. There is nothing saying how much you will grow, but it will definitely happen.

Don't get pregnant. That affects the pituitary gland and stops growth.
