I helped someone candidate last Summer, and I think the key is surrounding yourself with people you trust, so you can be yourself. The candidate that I supported is also a classical pianist, and he spends several hours a week at this pasttime.

I talked to a guy once who was a runner. He said you used to go out by himself in the morning, run a few miles, and think. It calmed him right down and gave him valuable time to relax.

Yeah, there's the usual joke about "running for office," but it's not a bad tactic. Walking might be the same cure if running isn't your style.
