The Honda transmissions only use Honda-matic transmission fluid that you get from a Honda dealer. A transmission fluid change (drain and refill using the drain bolt on the transmission pan to drain the transmission) will take about 3.5 quarts out. The transmission capacity is 8.3 quarts and that includes the transmission cooler and torque converter. to get all of the fluid out you need to flush the system using special equipment. Otherwise, just do the drain and refill.
the factory recommendation on transmission fluid change was every 100,000 miles. Most dealers recommend the drain and refill every 30,000 miles.

the engine oil capacity is 4.6 quarts with the filter, 4.2 without changing the filter. Almost eveyone always changes the filter.

hope that answers your question
