i have to write a paper on society and success, i need a good hook....my thesis is that society's idea of success is based upon the material objects a person has, such as a large house and nice cars.....can someone plz help me?

You can call it "He who dies with the most toys.."
That would be catchy and can easily tie into ads that push the theme of "success=amount of expensive possessions" although in the long run they won't do you any good.

society measures you by how successful you are in life. the collective society can have a different perspective on sucess than you however. society believes that success is a mansion and CEO position w/ lots of money or something like. however a person can believe that just being alive and happy with who u are is in itself succesful. these beliefs though they are different coincide in the same world so how does one really measure success???
p.s. if u looking for a good 1 liner. how about something like work hard. be successful. die anyways.

You could put in your paper how you had to go to school To get educated then how you had to pull ropes to get hired at a good paying job. Not only that, many people have large houses and nice cars because they use credit cards and go in debt.
