They are mostly meat eaters and love worms of any type. The best thing to start them off on would be blood worms. You can also feed all types of frozen shrimp or even small pieces of fresh shrimp from the store. They will usually take carnivore style sinking pellets as well. Here's some more info about them:

Hope that helps!

Peacock eels are meat eaters and love blood worms and brine shrimp also will munch sometimes on algae disks. Be care full if you have smaller fish, they will go after them to eat. They also love to borrow in the gravel. They can get big. Good luck!

They need a larger tank, 40+ gallons, they grow to about 15 inches, temps around 78F is good. Try feeding him some frozen blood worms(thawed), frozen/thawed out krill, cut up pieces of cocktail or salad shrimp, earth or meal worms, you can try flake food he may take it as well. But definitely vary his diet with the above and such.

they are very picky about there food. i had one that would only take live earthworms from the gas station or bait shop.

feed him one or two small pieces every other day.

mine would eat from my hand and would actuallly come to see me at the edge of the tank and follow my hands.

sadly he died, i fed him too big a peice of worm and he choked to death. make sure the peice is very small maybe like a half inc each and thin.

mine would not eat ANYTHING else. i tried to hand feed him blood worms and he would ignore them but the earthworms he would happliy come get it from my fingers.

they make great pets. keep in at least a ten gallon and they will get bigger and eat small fish like neons and ghost shrimp.

they like there water tropical temp and they are very hardy to water conditions and even temp, but like the warmer temp.

but get him some live earthworms ASAP most fish stores probably walmart where she got it try to feed them pellets and he is probably starving.

i might genuinely positioned 10 ghost shrimp in as quickly as a week. it is a wholesome volume of nutrition, and he won't stuff himself, he will consume them as he pleases. individually, I also have a 10 gallon tank committed completely for breeding ghost shrimp for my ever turning out to be selection of eels and rays.
